Lisa Konkol was awarded the honor of Master Artist from the American Juried Art Salon and has won numerous awards and prizes. Her paintings appear in homes in the US and internationally. She belongs to the Oil Painters of America (OPA), Portrait Society of America, and the Wisconsin Visual Artists. She is represented by Jean Stephen Galleries in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Lisa does not use any technology when creating a painting, but draws and paints the image by hand using the finest oil paints. She uses a combination of classical and modern techniques. Similar to the old masters, she often begins her portraits with an underpainting, but uses a wet-on-wet technique to complete the painting.
